5 common problems and solutions for wooden doors

Deformation of wooden doors

3. Problems caused by long-term exposure of the product to sunlight

● Solution

Slight deformation can be handled by applying pressure. In severe cases, it needs to be returned to the factory.

Wooden doors are cracked, shrunk, and bumped

● Reason

1. Cracks in logs may occur due to climate reasons or severe knocking or pressure during installation (usually door casing wires).
2. Due to the thermal expansion and contraction of wood, there will be certain shrinkage joints between door frames and door frames and door frame lines due to the influence of humidity and temperature.
3. The product may be accidentally hit and dented during transportation, or the door corners may be damaged during installation.

● Solution

General cracking, shrinkage, and bumps can be repaired with the merchant's own paint repair agent. If the area is large or the damage is serious, the wooden door also has professional cosmetic repairmen who can turn the decay into a miracle.

Bubbling and degumming of wooden doors

● Reason

The temperature is too high during processing, the glue is unevenly applied or the wood shrinks.

● Solution

If it is not serious, the beautician can re-sand and re-paint it on site. If it cannot be repaired or the bubbles continue to spread, it is recommended to place an order for redoing.

● Phenomenon

Under normal circumstances, if the installation is in place and the wall is straight, the door should be able to stay at any angle when opened, but some doors will open or close automatically.

● Reason

First, the vertical direction of the door may not be correct; second, the wall may not be standard, and the thickness of the wall at the opening may be inconsistent up and down.

● Solution

During installation, workers can use an infrared level to adjust the door pockets and door leaves. Regardless of whether the wall is standard or not, ensure that the door pockets are installed vertically, so as to ensure that the door leaves are installed vertically.
